ERP shaped by manufacturing depth

Finished quantities alone do not explain production. Material consumption, unfinished work and the origin of costs also matter. N-Series is an option for businesses considering manufacturing detail alongside its financial and inventory connections.

On this page7 sections

Commercial transactions, quality and stock

Standard includes sales, purchasing, finance and general accounting alongside quality control, serial and lot tracking, dynamic warehousing and fixed assets. Batch information and quality results are tracked in relation to material movements.

Production and material requirements

Production and MRP are separate Standard modules; MRP operates with production. Bills of materials, available stock and outstanding demand determine material requirements. Different orders using the same semi-finished item create shared requirements that finished-goods balances alone cannot explain.

Cost accounting and machine maintenance

Cost accounting and machine maintenance are separate Standard options; maintenance depends on production. The family also lists advanced production planning. A meaningful distinction from commercial ERP is the ability to address operations, consumption and cost relationships beyond invoice recording.

WORKFLOW

From work order to finished-goods cost

A work order identifies the job; consumption records identify materials used, and production receipts identify the output. Costing depends on these records agreeing in quantity and period. This flow depends on the relevant production and costing modules.

  1. Work order
  2. Material consumption
  3. Production receipt
  4. Cost calculation

Supplier quotations and hybrid access

N-Series is installed ERP with desktop, web and mobile access. Online supplier quotations can be compared and converted into orders. Production is optional in Basic. The editions have different scope, so Basic, Standard and Enterprise are not interchangeable names.

Connect recipes, consumption and costs

We map the records from production order to finished goods receipt. Recipe quantities, actual consumption, scrap and returns are tracked separately so reported production can be checked against the underlying movements. This detail guides module choice and implementation.

How T-Series, J-Series, N-Series and Cloud differ

The choice depends on deployment, manufacturing requirements and customisation, as well as business size. T-Series, J-Series, N-Series and Cloud can all cover manufacturing; the available functions depend on the selected package and modules.

Questions and answers

Are production, MRP and costing included as standard?

They are not all included in every edition. The Standard list treats these three areas as separate options, and MRP depends on the production module. The product name alone therefore does not define the complete manufacturing scope.

How does N-Series compare with T-Series?

Both families cover commercial ERP. N-Series highlights connected production, MRP, costing and maintenance components. T-Series Standard includes quick production. Detailed manufacturing comparisons depend on modules and process depth rather than the family name alone.
