Replenishment and order picking
The product covers receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking and dispatch. A picking location can run short while stock remains elsewhere, a problem that total quantities alone do not explain. Linking movements reveals where work is waiting.
Serial, lot and production processes
Handheld operations include serial and lot handling, production and set assembly. Recording a batch relationship provides traceability beyond scanning an item code. Material characteristics and downstream production or dispatch records determine the detail needed.
Adaptation and operational reporting
Reporting and adaptation tools extend standard flows with company-specific rules. Maintenance matters too: ownership of a custom rule should remain clear when a new warehouse opens or the ERP version changes.
ERP and warehouse automation
ERP connections exchange commercial master data and warehouse transactions. Infrastructure for AS/RS integration is also available. Such automation requires its own module and integration work; it does not mean every device connects without adaptation.
When is Platform needed rather than Basic?
If Basic parameters cover daily work, a wider customisation platform may be unnecessary. Platform is considered for specialised task sequences, production links or automation. The structure of the work matters alongside warehouse size.
The ERP record behind the physical movement
We review how picking fulfils an order and which ERP records represent partial despatches and material issues to production. These relationships guide custom rules, with changes and connections tested alongside the warehouse team.
