How the application works
It is a Windows desktop application opened from a shortcut on the user's Logo desktop. The user selects a date range; one list shows the products shipped in that range and the other shows the sales despatch lines. The lines include the despatch note, customer, delivery address, route, order and invoice numbers, quantity, unit and packaging.
Assigning certificates
The user ticks products and types the certificate number; the number is first assigned on screen to every line of that product, and single lines can be corrected. The Update command writes the numbers to the special code field of the despatch lines in Logo within one database transaction. Order and invoice numbers are shown for information only.
Connection to Logo and checks
The application connects to the Logo database directly: data is read through two custom stored procedures and written with a parameterised update. Firm and period come from configuration and are validated. Assignment is not possible without a selected product, and the user is warned when no records are found.
Reporting
Main-unit quantity totals by certificate, product and unit are shown on a separate screen, and the assignment list can be exported to Excel. According to the user guide, the despatch note is then opened in Logo for a check; if a correction is needed, the number is reassigned in Logo or in the application.
